Basic Website Information
If you are a new business, you might not have adequate customer feedback to work on in deciding what information to put on your website. It is advisable to start expanding your business with a basic 5-page website which usually consists of the following main pages:
1. About Us
This should talk about your company’s history, your philosophy and your products and services in general. It might also contain information as subpages such as your organization chart, your team profile, and your affiliations with other established companies.
2. Services/Products
This page showcases products and services. Depending on your products/services, this is where your customers will be visiting most of the time. Therefore, this should contain as much information as your customers need but just enough so as not to overwhelm them.
3. Frequently Asked Questions
In this page, you can list down all the questions that your customers usually ask about your products/services or your business in general and the answers to them as well. This page also prevents you and your staff from having to answer the usual questions and losing time on relevant inquiries that could increase sales.
4. Special Information Page
Depending on your business, this page could be a feature article on your most popular product or service; or it could show off your clients’/customers’ positive feedback about your products/services. If you require Client Registration, this could be the page for filling-out the customized form. It could also be a page that showcases your list of corporate clients or a News page that talks about your company’s achievements and activities to further enhance your brand.
5. Contact Us
By having a Contact Us form, you get to know what your customers actually think about your business, what they say about your products/services, and what information or other services/products they want from you. Aside from monitoring customer response and helping you in reorganizing your website later on, this could also be a great way to provide 24/7 customer service even while you sleep.
With these information on your website, you should be on the right track to growing your business.
